About this app

Shadowee helps you speak English more naturally with shadowing, a simple technique used by language learners: listen to a native-style speaker and repeat right after them, copying their rhythm, stress, and intonation.

Every lesson is a short, real-life conversation, about a minute long, with clear audio and a transcript that follows along as you listen.

PRACTICE IN FOUR WAYS
• Shadow – speak along with the audio and match the speaker's timing and melody.
• Repeat+ – build each line up phrase by phrase, repeating after every part.
• Echo – listen to a line, then say it from memory in the pause that follows.
• Blind – hide the text and speak each line from memory.

SPEAK AND HEAR YOURSELF
Follow the guided Path from A1 to C2. Listen to a line, record yourself saying it, and play it back right away to compare. Your recordings stay on your phone: they are played back once and never uploaded or saved.

UNDERSTAND EVERY LINE
• Turn on translations in 20 languages, including Spanish, French, Portuguese, Arabic, Hindi, Bengali, and Mandarin Chinese.
• Stress words are highlighted so you know what to emphasize.
• Useful phrases and collocations are marked so you can learn them as a whole.
• Each lesson includes key vocabulary with phonetic spelling, definitions, and example sentences.

• Lessons from beginner to upper-intermediate, organized by level.
