ShareDrop.org transfer a big file from one device to another the private way — directly, over an
encrypted peer-to-peer link, with no account and nothing parked on a server.
HOW IT WORKS
• Open the app on both devices. One taps Send and picks files; the other scans the QR code
(or types the short code).
• Your files travel straight between the two devices over an encrypted WebRTC channel.
• When a direct link isn’t possible, an encrypted relay forwards the packets — it can’t read
them and keeps nothing. The app shows you which mode you’re on, in real time.
WHAT YOU CAN SEND
• Photos and videos, straight from your gallery
• Music, straight from your library
• Any file — documents, audio, archives
BUILT FOR PRIVACY
• No account, no sign-up, no profile.
• We don’t store your files — there is no upload endpoint on our servers at all.
• No advertising and no third-party analytics inside the app. (Enforced at build time.)
• Session data expires on its own; there’s nothing to look up after a transfer ends.
WORKS ACROSS DEVICES
Android, iPhone, and any modern browser at app.sharedrop.org — send between phones, or from a
phone to a laptop, without cables or cloud accounts.
HONEST BY DESIGN
We don’t claim files “never touch a server” unconditionally. In relay mode, encrypted packets
do pass through a relay — and the app tells you so. Every privacy claim matches observable
behaviour.
