Beginner Japanese learners (JLPT N5) can start with basic greetings, and gradually move to more complex sentences, with lots of repetition to help you retain what you learn throughout the course. Start off with furigana and hide it when you’re ready.

Ratings and reviews

The amount of content that the free version of this app has access to is insane. There's tons of reading levels, with options to get translations for each sentence and mark words you don't know. The marked words will then automatically be put into flash cards to study. It's really amazing!

This app is incredible. You have to study conversation, vocabulary, kanji, and with all that, all you want afterwards is to not bang your head against a wall in a reading app. I know other reading apps that are very good(poro kanji study, JA Audiobook), but this one isn't 'work' and the price isn't stressful.

already enjoying an app from same publisher for learning chinese; great features lower entry barrier significantly (reading/listening, furigana, levels, built in translator + dictionary, ...); stories are great, enjoyed the grading, simple sentences but great clausal relationships in lower difficulty levels
