Once you get familiar try our new "Name That Trope" game. If you need some visual examples scroll through our Videos pages with thousands of trope examples. You can also use our Story Generator to help you come up with ideas for writing your own story using tropes as the building blocks.

For existing users you'll find all the main features such as editing, reviews, trope launch pad, etc. And some new features on the app including: badge shop, PM and Forum notifications, PM's in a single text-style format, new wiki walk experience, and much more.

The TVTropes app has many different sections so we've add the ability to customize what tabs you see.

Ratings and reviews

EDITED REVIEW: after an initial 3 stats rating, let it be known that I am a hardcore TVTropes addict from as far back as 2011 or so.. and I do really wanna see the site succeed as it's helped me so much in analyzing media and having scary good memory for media I've never even seen.. But after 2 weeks with no real updates.. in app purchases AND ads (I get it you gotta pay server fees and such) but no Dark mode means I literally can't enjoy reading, it hurts physically. The search is also trash.

It's a fine enough app to use to scroll through TV Tropes. Earlier versions would've gotten a worse rating, but since they added in dark mode, tabs, and an ability to see where the link goes instead of having to click on it. It still has a few issues and it's a bit slower than browsing the actual website, but still a pleasant way to spend hours going through pages.

it's okay i guess. the search function is ABYSMAL, i put in a game verbatim to how it's written on the tvtropes page itself, then have to go several pages in to even find it. works fine other than that though, very enriching for my urge to read a lot || EDIT: in regards to the staff reply; i was searching for 100 line: last defense academy (not how it's written in the search but it didn't appear when searched with the stylizations)
