The enterprise is based on state property and belongs to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and was formed for the purpose of providing services for determining the quality and safety of agricultural products and performs work on the certification of seeds and planting material, in accordance with the Procedures for certification, issuance and cancellation of certificates for seeds and/or planting material, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 17.11.2023 No. 1210, and others regulatory acts, and issues relevant certificates, including certificates of an international model in accordance with the Schemes of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (hereinafter - OECD) for variety certification, as well as - the International Association for Quality Control of Seeds (hereinafter - ISTA), which are moved in international trade.
The subject of the Enterprise's activity is:
- determination of indicators of safety, quality of agricultural products, presence or absence of GMOs in accordance with the field of accreditation;
- determination of quality and safety indicators of organic products;
- organization, participation, conduct of interlaboratory comparative tests;
certification of seeds and planting material;
- determination of varietal and sowing qualities of seeds and varietal and commercial qualities of planting material;
- implementation of arbitration determination of the quality of grain and its processing products;
- organization and holding of seminars, courses, trainings in the field of determination of indicators of safety, quality of agricultural products and wine products, presence or absence of GMOs in them;
- provision of information and analytical, advisory services, technical tests and research.
