Clunky, Slow, Unresponsive, Unreliable Needs work. Takes forever to load tickets when asked to show tickets. Buttons/links dont often work or will crash the app.
Very user friendly
Not dependable This app has a mind of it's own. It can be very, very slow and I find I have to close it and open a few times to get it to work. It is very difficult to edit if you make an error. Some errors can cost you if you are charged twice for the same fare.
Concept is great! In reality the app is impractical. Case in point: your phone battery dies, or you otherwise don't have immediate access to your mobile phone (mine fell out in my car 10 minutes before I boarded the train) so I had to plead with the conductor not to give me a summons as she sees me every single day and knows I have a monthly pass. It is a huge inconvenience for regular commuters to have to wait until the conductor shows up (if at all) and then drag out the mobile just to validate what most staff already know. :)
Wastes battery/CPU, too! The app is about as great as the service: barely passable. I used it to buy a ticket because the 3 machines at my station all didn't work. Unfortunately I bought it on my secondary phone, and not knowing, I can't get the e-ticket on my primary. And what is wrong with dev making the viewing of static schedules require Internet access? Don't they realize the heavy cell dead spots on the Fredericksburg line? Also needs a ticket widget for quick access to avoid the inconsistent loading times.
Unreliable Keeps losing my credit card info. This is a big inconvenience when I am running late. Also lost some tickets when deleting the and rehabilitation installing.
We added new features and improvements.
-It’s now much easier to retrieve previously purchased VRE tickets when you get a new device
Thank you for riding VRE!
