• Our Mission
Our goal is to inspire and empower creators around the world by raising awareness of intellectual property (IP) rights and related processes.

• What is CLIP?
When it comes to creators’ rights and intellectual property, Creators Learn Intellectual Property – CLIP – is the trusted go-to knowledge platform. A globally minded platform catering to creators of all disciplines, with CLIP, creators can make informed decisions and be recognized and fairly compensated for their work.

Initially launching with music industry-specific content, CLIP will grow to include visual arts in 2026, followed by a range of additional creative disciplines, including literature, audio-visual creation, dramatic and visual arts, and more, in the years to come. Creators can watch videos with insights from industry experts, explore pages explaining key aspects of intellectual property rights, and test their knowledge with mini-quizzes.

• Who we are
CLIP is owned and managed by WIPO for Creators, a consortium led by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), a United Nations specialized agency.

WIPO for Creators was co-founded by WIPO and the Music Rights Awareness Foundation (MRAF), an apolitical foundation that works to increase knowledge of music rights worldwide, with the support of key creative industry organizations and sponsors from the public and private sector.

On our creator-first platform, we bring together vast experience and deep knowledge from the creative industries to inform and empower creators around the world.

• What is Intellectual Property (IP)
IP refers to creations of the mind, such as inventions, literary and artistic works, designs, symbols, names, and images used in commerce. This includes patents, trademarks, and copyrights.

IP rights protect the ownership and exclusivity of these creations, allowing their creators to benefit from them and foster an environment in which creativity and innovation can flourish.
