I haven't found an easier front end to g-calendar, but I stopped looking after a couple of weeks of using aCalendar. I've seen comments about pop-up ads, but if there are any they haven't been annoying enough to impede my progress. You can pay a bit to stop ads and add some more features, and I've been tempted, but I don't know that I'd use them. On the other hand it would help the developers, and I'm all for that with apps I use. Aw, what the heck, my next move is going to be an upgrade.

Excellent product and support I've been using this for about a month and love it. I particularly like the hybrid view widget that gives me a view of both my calendar and tasks (optional add on but very inexpensive) for the day in one place. Tech sure has been very responsive, which is rare.

I love this calendar! Two minor suggestions based on long daily usage: (1.) When an event's time is updated, a little confirmation banner appears at the bottom of the screen. If the user is editing from top to bottom, this makes it extremely difficult to add or change notifications, as this banner will block them for a few seconds and cannot be closed manually. (2.) When one event is split off from a repeating series, give the option to make this single updated event repeat on its own terms.

Thanks for your feedback! You should be able to swipe away any snackbar-style notifications. It is technically (per the ical standard and the Android calendar system) not possible for exceptions of a series to be turned into a series, you would need to copy the event and delete the exception.
