The Friendly Words system supports learning speech comprehension and is designed for children with autism spectrum disorders. It is designed in accordance with the principles of behavioral therapy and consists of two applications – Friendly Words is designed for the child, and Friendly Words Settings is for the therapist, who can configure the learning process to suit the child's individual needs and deficits.

The Friendly Words game involves pointing out which of the graphically presented images represents the word indicated by the command. The command is available in written and audio format, and the command can be repeated. After the child selects the correct answer, reinforcement occurs. Reinforcement involves presenting the correct answer again to reinforce the word and create positive associations between the word and its representation. If the child waits too long for a correct answer, the game provides a prompt to encourage the child to choose the correct option. The same happens if the child selects the wrong answer.
