About this app

Learn PHP by reading clear examples, writing code, and seeing the result in one mobile workspace. php Code Play brings guided lessons, an in-app PHP editor, practical projects, and interview preparation together for learners who want to move from concepts to hands-on practice.

START WITH A GUIDED PATH
Browse 200 PHP lessons covering output, variables, arrays, control flow, functions, strings, object-oriented foundations, and more. Search the lesson catalogue, jump between chapters, and resume where you left off. Lessons include explanations and code samples; you can open supported examples in the editor to try them. The catalogue identifies lessons that run in the app and those that need a separate PHP server, so you know what to expect before testing a sample.

WRITE AND RUN PHP
The PHP workspace lets you edit code and view the result in a separate output tab. In-app execution is available for supported PHP examples. Use undo and redo, find and replace, and go to line while editing. Start a new file, open a file, or save your work from the workspace. The editor also offers quick keys for common HTML and PHP characters. Server-dependent examples are marked clearly; the app does not present those as executable in its local runtime.

CONNECT PHP WITH WEB PAGES
Follow HTML + PHP tutorials that show how scripts can generate page content. Explore templates, conditions, loops, tables, and escaped output in context. Search the examples or browse by chapter, then open a tutorial in the workspace when you want to examine its code and output. This track is useful when you know basic syntax and want to see how PHP and HTML work together.

PRACTICE WITH A PURPOSE
Take a daily PHP challenge, read its prompt and expected output, reveal hints when needed, and work on the solution in the editor. Guided projects break a larger task into steps, with beginner and intermediate filters to help you choose a starting point. The app checks practice output for supported challenges and project steps, then records completed work. You can return to a project to see which steps are done.

REVIEW AND PREPARE
Test your knowledge with PHP quizzes and revisit missed questions in the review section. Search 110 interview questions, read their explanations, bookmark useful topics, and mark the ones you want to review. A 10-question mock interview lets you reveal an answer and rate your confidence as you go. These tools can help turn passive reading into recall practice before an interview or assessment.

SEE YOUR LEARNING HISTORY
The progress page brings together lessons read, code run, challenges, projects, reviews, quiz attempts, and interview topics. A 30-day activity calendar and streak count help you see your practice pattern. Choose a 5, 10, or 15 minute daily goal, and optionally set a learning reminder. The Today page gives you a simple route back into a lesson, challenge, review, or project.

Whether you are meeting PHP for the first time, revisiting syntax, or preparing to explain a concept aloud, php Code Play gives you a practical place to read, write, run, and review. Some server features, including server-dependent lessons, require an external PHP environment; the lesson catalogue labels these separately.

Quite good, in that it has a local server and php interpreter. The red crossed circles by some lessons mean they can't be edited, and I found this is because the more resource-heavy commands have been omitted - so these lessons are not run, and just text. A fair compromise. Starts as functional; turns into object-oriented, which is really cool. Does lack an explanatory background text and challenges to solve.

My LORD JESUS CHRIST bless you. I love the app primarily for offline internal viewer (output) which make it easy for me to code with my phone at no cost. I would love you to add the following features; 1. Save/open files 2. Autocomplete code 3. Keyboard syntax 4. Syntax highlighting 5.Parse error should state exactly the line of error. If I have error on line 2 it will say error is on line 3 instead of 2. Etc Add more details to your 'About' the app.

I rate it one 🌟 because it doesn't have any editor as it professes to have. So how do I build my websites? The only feature it's got is already written codes, which is basically just for learning of which though it was a reason why I had to download and then install it but the major reason which is the practical part (building websites etc.) is out of the scope of this very app. So please I urge you to work on this app on this angle.
