The best, but.. Woukd be great if you could support hexa n-back: (1) color, (2) position, (3) shape, (4) phone vibration pattern, (5) word spoken and (6) tonality of word spoken. It would be especially powerful if the "shape" were spelled out colors and the sound were spoken colors, each independent of the color print. EG, one round might include the word "blue" in red letters, while the voice speaks "green." This on top of the tone, position and vibration pattern. Then your will have the world's greatest brain trainer
The developer is very responsive to suggestions and the new update(s) to the app after several years make it even better. Well worth paying for to remove the ads and support the developer. ***Edit 2/2/16: Since the last update, the Today screen is showing all sessions from previous days. The progress graph is also wrong because of this. 2/12: somehow the issue corrected itself and it is working normally again, at least for now.
A great initial version, destroyed by updates The original game was robust, simple, and user friendly. An update added the typical Ads banner, which it's fair and acceptable to support the developer. However, the latest update introduced noisy and intrusive pop up Ads. I believe that application quality was sacrificed at the expense of making money. Intrusive Ads are not the best way to encourage your users to move to a paid version. Also, an application update should always make it better, never worse, no matter with version you have.
Simple but challenging Basically one has to remember two or more sequences of certain data as they change overtime...it can be extremely challenging. The pitch sequence can be very useful for musicians...(here's a tip to the developer...about a music ear training version with pitches and note letters?)
Does the job Tutorial could be better since I didn't understand how the task was supposed to work and the tutorial stops at n=2. Going up to n=3 would've made it crystal clear to me. Aside from that the program works great and is really testing me. And now that I have read more about other programs it would be good to see different kinds of challenges you can play, such as those that vary the n or other variables.
Great, but the ads are very annoying This it the best implementation of this game on Android I've seen. Just 2 flaws: 1. It's unclear how to remove ads (I don't mind paying) 2. The sounds get truncated (should be just sped-up) in fast modes (less than 2s, I play on 1.5s, slower is boring and my attention flies away).
