Santoczno is located in western Poland, in the northern part of the Lubuskie province. The landscape is dominated by vast forests, numerous lakes and brooks. In such an idyllic environment it is easy not to pay attention to the extremely interesting past of the town. Fortunately, you can rent an audioguide on the spot, which will show you around the village, show its monuments and tell interesting stories.
Santoczno developed from the eighteenth century as a significant center of iron and steel. At the time, the town belonged to the Kingdom of Prussia and was called Zanzhausen. The traditions of the metal industry survived until the Second World War.
