The BCU Kalwaria - Plotter app is a training simulator that uses Augmented Reality (AR) to teach how to use the ZÜND LC-1800 industrial cutting plotter. Designed with the footwear industry in mind, the app allows you to safely and engagingly master the automatic leather cutting process directly on your smartphone. Using AR mode, after a quick scan of the floor using your mobile device's camera, a virtual model of the machine is precisely and stably positioned in your surroundings at a 1:1 scale. The system ensures that you are always facing the workstation, guaranteeing fully intuitive navigation through the virtual production hall.

What exactly does the simulator offer?

Comprehensive cutting process: You take on the role of a professional operator. You begin by selecting a shoe design on a virtual touchscreen and selecting the specific elements to be cut. Using the built-in calculator, you define the number of pairs and assign them the appropriate materials. Interactive material work: The environment precisely replicates the workstation. Your task is to take leather sheets from a metal stand, spread them on a work table equipped with a vacuum extraction system, and smooth them out with your hands. Defect detection and planning: Before the machine begins, you must identify and manually mark all random imperfections on the material. Then, you arrange the virtual cutout elements (e.g., uppers) so that they avoid these defects and do not overlap. An intelligent collision system will instantly verify their correct alignment!

Full process control: Freely rotate, move, and edit the arrangement of the elements before connecting to the machine and running the procedure on the controller. Starting the process will trigger a satisfying animation of the plotter head physically cutting the planned shapes.
