“Sky Force Reloaded” is the spirit of the retro arcade shoot‘em ups, captured with modern visuals and design. This is my new favourite bullet hell vertical shooter. The gameplay is fun while being standard fare, upgrading your ship, finding ship parts to build new ones etc etc. However the graphics are beautiful and although the ship is a bit slow at times (my only real gripe tbf), its a small niggle in an otherwise brilliant game. There are ads yes but the developer has got to make money and they're skippable so it's not the end of the world. All in all well worth your time 👍🏼

I'm admit this game has some great things going for it. The graphics are beautifully detailed, the controls are precise and intuitive and it is challenging. But come on, did they really have to make the grind quite this punishing? There are timers applied to just about everything and upgrades are all but mandatory to progress and they cost a fortune in the stars you earn playing the game (That are, of course, purchasable). I know it's FTP, but the game goes from fun to tedious very quickly.

P. S. Not all health powers ups give you health!!! Good game - Shame about the ads. There is specific set of adverts the game plays, but when the you press the little 'x' in the corner, the screen goes blank and you have to close the app then restart it. This can take some time, and when the adverts come after pretty much every game this can result in about 3-4mins between each game, and depending on difficulty the gameplay may last just a few seconds. If they sort this out, easily 5-stars.
