The 12th Conference of the European Family Therapy Association (EFTA), and the 21st Congress of the Red Europea y Latinoamericana de Escuelas Sistémicas (RELATES), together, co-organized with Unité DIPHE of Université Lyon 2 will take place in Lyon, France from the 27 to 30 August 2025, bringing together professionals from across Europe and Latin America to explore the transformative power of systemic thinking and practice in today’s rapidly evolving world.

In a time of both extraordinary scientific advancement and global unrest, systemic practitioners are called to respond to relational suffering and social fragmentation. This congress invites participants to co-create knowledge, exchange ideas, and build connections across disciplines, cultures, and perspectives by combining the theoretical foundations of the systemic approach with the diversity and plurality of people and clinical practices, all enriched by research data.


Participants will engage in interactive, artistic, and dialogical formats designed to stimulate reflection, creativity, and collaboration. Whether through shared understandings or critical dialogue, the aim is to explore differences that make a difference and to reinforce the commitment to healing and transformation.

EFTA–RELATES 2025 will offer four days of dialogue, learning, and renewed commitment to advancing systemic approaches that support and empower individuals, families, institutions, and communities.
