14 th European Vertebrate Management Conference (EVMC 2025) will be hosted by several Slovenian academic institutions in Ankaran, Slovenia, between 12 and 16 May 2025. The conference is the next step in a chain of previous meetings known as EVPMCs, but this time with an added focus on
inclusivity to all vertebrate species as well as different management issues, including ecology, monitoring and conservation. The following topics will be presented: Ecology, physiology and behaviour; Taxonomy and genetics; Population monitoring and management; Human-animal conflicts and social dimension; (Invasive) alien vertebrates; Crop and urban systems; Health, zoonotic pathogens and parasites; Rodenticide resistance; New tools and methods.
EVMC 2025 will bring together a diverse international community of experts and researchers to share experiences, present new findings and initiate collaborations that will shape the future of vertebrate management. With over 200 submissions from more than 40 countries, the event promises to be a dynamic platform to present insights into recent findings on vertebrate ecology, the ecosystem role/value of different species, hunting, behaviour, intra and interspecific interactions, human-wildlife coexistence, conflicts, and population management.
