Around is a mobile app that shows postings (or 'rounds') submitted by people near your location. Distance is important in Around: the closer a posting ('round') is submitted, the more likely it is to appear in the app.
It doesn't make much sense to use Around without GPS location. Without it, posts ('rounds') reach an irrelevant audience, and your experience with the app will be limited.
On the other hand, feel free to use it in "read-only" mode. Enjoy every moment you have, at the place where you are.
