About this app

PosteID is the official App of Poste Italiane for the new digital identity that allows access to the services of the Public Administration and private individuals affiliated with the Public Digital Identity System (SPID).

REGISTRATION WITH ELECTRONIC DOCUMENT
If you have an electronic document - Identity Card (CIE) or Passport - you can use the PosteID App to carry out your identification online, without going to the post office.

REGISTRATION WITH BANK TRANSFER
As an alternative to registering with an electronic document, you can use the PosteID App to carry out your identification online and then complete the request by making a transfer from an Italian account in your name or joint name.

ACCESS WITHOUT PASSWORD THROUGH QR CODE
You can authorize access requests using a QR Code. Just scan the QR Code shown on the service login page and enter the PosteID code on the App.

ACCESS WITH FINGERPRINT
You can quickly authorize access with your fingerprint as an alternative to the PosteID code.

SPID LEVEL 3 ACCESS
To authorize access to services that require SPID 3, you must have the SPID 3 PIN. To obtain it, connect to your personal area at https://posteid.poste.it

USE THE APP AS A PIN GENERATOR
You can also access the services with a temporary PIN generated in the App, even if this is offline.

Once you have generated the PIN, it will be entered on the login page of the service, after entering your username and password.

Ratings and reviews

After entering all info, exactly as required, you just receive an email stating that they can not verify some information. No details on exactly what's wrong, no way to correct it. There was absolutely no thought put into the design and functionality of this app. Also, there should be some way of requesting assistance online other than making a call. Many of us who need to use an app to register for SPID are in different timezones, otherwise we would do an in-person recognition.

Registering is impossible. I have tried registering multiple timea and on different says. I submit the document photos and videos. Then, once I get to the "Mancano solo pochi passi" I always get a "HTTP ERROR: 799" or "HTTP ERROR: 404" Update: Why is it my responsibility to contact Assistenza? Your app is broken, fix it yourself.

this is a bad application, I lost my phone and I brought another one I couldn't login my account again, even when I know my name and password they still continue to send password to my old number, and I couldn't change my number I went to 3 of the offices but they couldn't do it.. instead they give me number to call and I call many times but no respond just AI talking to me.. that's how I lost my SPID
