Power Off and Shutdown app can be used to turn off and lock the screen of any Android device, in a way that it can be unlocked without violating the security policy that requires a PIN to unlock.

That means that you can use your fingerprint to unlock your device, as you would normally do if the screen was turned of by pressing the hardware power key.

Power Off and Shutdown can also be assigned to be the Assist App of your device and thus it can be activated by long-pressing the Home key.

Notes:
For those who cannot see the screen off animation even the app is reinstalled, please follow the procedures below:
Android 4.x: Go to "Setting > Developer options > Transition animation", and then select 1x for this option.
Android 2.x, Make sure you selected the option "All animations" under "Settings > Display > Animation".

A complete time wasting ripoff and now won't uninstall. Recommending DO NOT INSTALL. Does not power off phone as described, only the screen. Then difficult and time consuming to uninstall. So far with multiple efforts unable to uninstall. Is this on purpose to eventually force feed multiple ads and promotions? Run! Run! Run!

Hi guys. My names is Sandile Jabulani I work up in the morning finding that my phone was having a problem with shutting down. so i tried many times to reboot it or shut down but it refused. the worst part was to install this app. and activated it. and the phone refused to shut down still. its an android. So the other option was to take out a battery. and it was de only option cause i dont know why it was not operating on power off. so emidiatly i tried uninstalling here gose nothing. so dont

This app was not user friendly, and was confusing. Uninstalling was complicated, and on a flook in the app store it told me I need to deactivate first before uninstalling, and that was cooperating either. I do not recommend any apps from this provider.
