This theme is the basis of study and reflection for the 10 days of prayer and the 10 hours of fasting.
This chapter examines the concept of apocalyptic prophecy in the Hebrew Bible, arguing that it is a meaningful and helpful rubric. The world is changing so fast that we can't keep up with the news. You have such powerful speed that you can defeat others and even the most awesome tragedies are soon forgotten as worse ones occur. Thus, we have lost the capacity for wonder and reaction to this daily increase in pain and suffering. The good news is that this won't happen forever because Dios, by his serenity, controls all things. It begins with a discussion of the apocalypse genre and apocalyptic literature before turning to some of the epistemological, theological and even psychoanalytic issues at play in the debate over the relevance of the idea of apocalyptic prophecy.
We were called directly by him to proclaim the happy hope to this confused world, and we had to make a great effort to put it before the eyes and the hearts of the people.
This is just an adaptation of the call of Dios for these days which is presented by Elena de White in the book Eventos de los dias días. There are many other precious quotes in this book, and so that you can know them better, we have prepared this special selection of prophetic sayings for these last days.
The themes are not presented in chronological form, but the most important prophecies and moments that the church will experience before the return of Jesus are highlighted. In each quote we can see a sovereign God at work in history and recognize our prophetic role in giving the world a final message of opportunity and hope.
