My experience with @AlaCabs today was one of the worst cab experiences I've ever had. Despite charging premium fares, the app doesn't even show the car model or whether it's an AC or non-AC vehicle before booking. The driver's details were completely inconsistent. The name on the app was different, the call came from an unknown number, and the number listed in the app connected to someone else, who then redirected me to the actual driver. As a passenger, how am I supposed to know who he is.

Before you can even book a single ride, this app wants access to your entire contact list, your files, your Device ID, SMS. Apps like Uber, Careem, Ola, Rapido none of them ask for this. They just need your phone number and location while the app is open, that's it. They manage billions of rides worldwide with that. So why does a small regional app need more access than them? It doesn't. There's no legitimate reason other than data mining

Totally useless app, all they have done is created an app, which in today's world with AI, an app like this can be launched in hours. They don't have any ground work, no communication with cabs or autowalas. The cabs hardly accept any ride, even if they accept, they will call you and tell you to write their number, cancel this ride and we will come. It would have been a great relief for Srinagar areas atleast, but they dont have any ground work or any communication with riders.
