Wadi Gaza Municipality is a newly established municipality, as the area was marginalized until 1996 AD. A project committee was selected in the village mosque in 2000 AD. The committee focused on the basic projects of the area. In 2000 AD, a village council was approved for the Wadi Gaza area on 5/5/2005 AD elections were held that produced members of a municipal council and a mayor, which later became an independent municipality. The town of Wadi Gaza is a Palestinian rural border town, located in the southeastern part of the governorate of Gaza. From the north, it is bordered by the newly expanded Gaza municipality influence and Al-Karama Street (Al-Mentar), which connects between the Muharrarat Netzarim (Shuhada) junction and the Malaka Circle, and from the south, Wadi Gaza separates the area from Al-Bureij refugee camp. The strategic vision of Wadi Gaza Municipality The municipality provides basic services to the population, including water, street lighting, solid waste collection, maintenance and paving of roads, planning and organizing construction operations, and issuing licenses for crafts and industries.
