Shake Flashlight is the fastest, simplest way to instantly turn your phone's camera LED flash into a bright flashlight. No more fumbling in the dark or clicking through menus when you need light fast—just shake your phone and let there be light!
Whether you are looking for your keys in the dark, walking your dog at night, or navigating a power outage, Shake Flashlight provides instant illumination with zero hassle.
Shake Flashlight turns your light on the moment you need it. Give your phone a quick shake, even with the screen off on supported phones, and shake again to turn it off.
Shake to turn on flashlight, without the accidents:
• Shakes are ignored during calls and when the phone is covered, such as in a pocket
• Choose Low, Medium or High sensitivity, and try a shake to see how it feels
• A short buzz confirms each shake
More than a shake torch:
• SOS signal and adjustable strobe
• Full-screen light in white, amber or red
• Brightness control on supported phones (Android 13 and later)
• Turns off automatically after about 5, 15 or 30 minutes, if you choose
• Opens with the light already on, and has a one-tap home screen widget
• Shows your battery level while the light is on
Every feature is free. No ads, no account, no camera permission, no internet access.
A flashlight with shake needs to be reliable, so a few phones work a little differently. Pocket detection uses the phone's proximity sensor, so it depends on that sensor, and holding your hand over it also blocks a shake. Strobe flashes quickly: don't use it if you or someone nearby may be sensitive to flashing light.
Some phones can't detect motion while asleep. On those, shake works while the screen is on, with an optional setting to keep listening that uses more battery.
Shake is optional. It uses a small ongoing notification so Android lets it work while the app is closed. If you'd rather not allow that, the button and widget still work, and shake works while the app is open.
Motorola phones already have a built-in chop gesture, so shake starts off there. You can turn it on in the app.
Shake your phone to turn the flashlight on or off. SOS, strobe and a widget.
