About this app

With the authentication.gov.pt application, citizens can activate the Digital Mobile Key (CMD) with a video-selfie and validating their citizen card.
In this application, you can also generate a temporary security code, or use biometric validation from your mobile phone, as an alternative to the SMS code, to authenticate yourself with CMD in public or private portals.
It also has a service for managing access authorizations to your data and signing documents.

On the first time when trying to scan the ID, camera isn't able to focus properly. After the user clicks to snap, the cam re-focuses while snapping resulting in a blurred pic. For that reason it is impossible to successfully go through the onboarding process. Fortunately I did mine previously. Even so, app crashes after the first use so now I'm trying to login into AT and can't because app crashes after opening. Jan 2023. Miserable experience for such a useful governmental application.

This application is awful. I have tried dozens of times to activate my CMD and I finally managed to do it after I read one of the reviews saying that you must delete the app's cache if you fail do activate it in the first time. The app kept giving errors in several stages of the activation process, meaning that you have to redo everything again. This app needs a drastic optimization, otherwise it's a waste of your time and government funds.

Please enable switching to English from the starting screen, the app is unusable for many otherwise. You can't even take a screenshots to Google translate.
