Considering the purpose of the MAI to be at the forefront of technology and improve relationships with citizens, progress was made in order to make the technological evolution of the availability of MAI services on a mobile platform, so that they are accessible permanently the citizen.
Services at maiMobile:
● Location of the forces and Mai Security Services (GNR and PSP).
● I'm here Children program - The program I'm Here! (EA) is a partnership between the Public Security Police, the PT Foundation, RFM and SGMAI which aims to free distribution of EA bracelets, in order to facilitate and expedite the location of educators and / or parents of children lost in this summer period. A pioneer in Portugal, EA is therefore designed for parents to increase the odds of identifying their children, positioning itself as an effective and expeditious solution in case of disappearance. The EA is an additional aid and must not and can not substitute for the responsibility that parents and guardians should naturally assume.
● I'm Here Adults Program - The Public Security Police has the constitutional and legal mission of defending democratic legality, protecting internal security and the rights of citizens, by ensuring the security conditions that allow the exercise of rights and freedoms and respect for guarantees of citizens and ensure public order and peace and security and protection of persons and property. As part of its mission and in accordance with the existing vision, PSP identifies the need to ensure the safety of adults who, for various reasons, may suffer some confusion on the road, to bridge this vulnerability. The program I'm Here Adults was thought to protect and support any adults who might be found in the street in a state of special vulnerability, allowing its correct identification and rapid contact with a family member. ● Safe Summer - The MAI, together with the security forces want without travel to the stations and stations of the GNR or PSP, citizens can formulate and send via the Internet, surveillance requests from their home, at the enjoyment of your vacation, addressed to the Security Force with jurisdiction in your area. This initiative was the subject of an upgrade in technology, design and usability in 2015. This year was given the opportunity to citizens to include in the request "additional information" so that citizens share with the information relevant security forces is possible the surveillance.
● SMS Trailer - This measure allows the citizen to know the location of your car after towing the same, whatever the park collection and regardless of the security force, municipal police or municipal companies that have made the trailer. By sending a single SMS, SMS Trailer service informs citizens about the location of the park where the vehicle towed for parking erratically, abusive or prohibited. SMS trailer was implemented under the Simplex program, and is currently up and running in the following locations: Lisbon, Porto, Oeiras.
