About this app

Mobile application developed by AMCB initiative for monitoring issues related to climate change, particularly in the municipalities of Almeida, Belmonte, Celorico da Beira, Covilhã, Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, Fornos de Algodres, Fundão, Gouveia, Guarda, Manteigas, Mêda, Penamacor, Pinhel, Sabugal, Seia and Trancoso.

The application will become a digital infrastructure, allowing citizens to access this information more directly, as well as receive alerts about threats to the region related to climate change and provide residents with a direct communication channel, according to the risks and vulnerabilities of the region, incorporating two aspects:
• Awareness aspect, where each of the risks and their effects are explained and identified.

• Community alert aspect, with the development of adaptation/prevention measures, indicating the behavior to adopt to mitigate the effects of the risks.

In this way, the mobile application will highlight 3 factors:
• Dissemination of risks and vulnerabilities regarding the perceived climate changes;

• Access to information on adaptive/preventive measures;

• Making known the climatic norms experienced in the municipalities.
