The app consumes a lot of data and also causes overheating and a general slow-down of my phone's performance after using it for some minutes. Please fix this issue because I have a high regard for Punch News. Thank you.

Punch, what's the big idea with the pop-ups? Who does pop-ups these days? They are annoying. They can't be closed, and whatever you do they still take to you to their desired page. Using the app now makes for an unpleasant experience. Can't see a single response from the developers of the app to any of the complaints of the users. Not expecting any to this one either. If the pop-ups continue, we may be left with no option but to uninstall. Reducing the stars to the lowest possible.

I rated two stars before but now I would rate zero if I could. There are just so many things wrong with this app. The new one is the pop-ups. It makes no sense to advertise a news article while I'm reading one already. Worse, you cannot close the pop-up. This app used to be good about 3 years ago. Since then, the developers have found new ways to make it more annoying with each update. Readers have been complaining for years now with no change 👎🏽
