About this app

"City Code" turns a city walk into a mini-adventure.

You see a fragment of a landmark on the map—a piece of stucco, a bas-relief, a sign, a monument, a fence, or a fountain. Your task: find out what it is, get there, and take a photo of it. The app will verify that you're actually there and count your find.

This isn't a guidebook for people to watch from the couch—it's a reason to get out of the house, explore favorite and new routes, and discover a city you usually pass by without noticing.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Open your city map and choose a puzzle.
2. Go to the place you recognized from the fragment.
3. Take a photo of the landmark—we'll confirm its location and the landmark itself.

QUICK START
You can start right away as a guest—just choose a nickname. Logging in with Google or Apple will save your progress and allow you to play from any device.

CLEARLY ABOUT ACCESS
Geolocation and camera are only needed to confirm your discovery at the time of shooting. The app works online. For more information, see the privacy policy.
