Type a place and GoThere points at it. One arrow and the distance, nothing else. No map, no turn-by-turn, no "in 200 feet, turn left".
I stopped knowing where I was the day I started using a navigator. I didn't like that, so I made this. With GoThere you'll take more wrong turns than ever, but you'll find your way again, and you'll start to really understand where you are and where you're going.
Made for:
• Wandering a new city without staring at a map
• Finding your friends at a festival, on the beach or on a hike
• Getting back to your car, your tent or the meeting spot
• People who are not in a hurry
• Planes
POINT AT ANY PLACE
Type an address, a city or a landmark. The arrow turns to face it wherever you stand, and the distance counts down as you get closer.
FOLLOW A FRIEND WITH A BEACON
Turn on your beacon and send its link. Friends who open it in GoThere get an arrow pointing at you, live, as you move.
• One way: they see you, you don't see them.
• Two ways: they share their position too, and show up as dots on your compass.
Your position is shared only while your beacon is on. You get a random name like "Playful Jaguar", there's no account, and the relay that connects you stores nothing. Want a fresh start? Make a new beacon key and old links stop working.
SAVE AND SHARE WAYPOINTS
Save the place you're heading to, or add one by its coordinates. Send a waypoint as a link and it opens straight to the arrow on your friend's phone.
THE LITTLE THINGS
• Light and dark theme, five color palettes
• Kilometers or miles, plus your current speed
• Tap the compass for a full-screen arrow
• Your destination is still there if Android closes the app
No ads, no account. Beacons are free for everyone. If you like GoThere, you can leave an optional donation from the heart icon.
Know the direction, find the way.
