About this app

Only one phone needs this app. The other device just needs a web browser.

Send files to an iPhone, Mac, Windows laptop, Chromebook, tablet or another Android phone. Nothing to install on their side, no account, no cables. They open a link, enter a 6-digit passcode, and your files are right there. They can send files back to you the same way.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Tap Start sharing.
2. Connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi, or turn on your hotspot and let the other device join it.
3. They open the address shown on your screen (or scan the QR code) in any browser and type the passcode.

That's it. Files move directly between the two devices over your local network. Your mobile data isn't used for transfers.

WORKS WITH ANY DEVICE THAT HAS A BROWSER
• iPhone and iPad (Safari)
• Mac, Windows and Linux computers
• Chromebooks
• Android phones and tablets

SEND AND RECEIVE, BOTH WAYS
Turn on "Allow uploads" and the other person can send files to your phone from their browser, even from an iPhone. Received files are saved in your Downloads folder, and you can open them right from the app.

YOU CHOOSE WHAT TO SHARE
• Selected items (default): share only the files and folders you pick. Nothing else on your phone is visible.
• Share all: let the other person browse your whole storage, like a file manager.

A BROWSER EXPERIENCE THAT FEELS LIKE AN APP
• Photo viewer with swipe between pictures
• Video player with seeking, no need to wait for the whole file
• Music player with album art, "Play all" and auto-next
• Grid and list views with thumbnails
• Select several files and download them together as one .zip
• Download whole folders in one tap
• Drag and drop uploads on laptops, with a progress bar for each file
• Light and dark mode

PASSCODE PROTECTED
Every session gets a new 6-digit passcode. Without it, nobody on the network can see your files. After 5 wrong tries, that device is locked out for a minute. Stop sharing and the link stops working.

HANDY EXTRAS
• QR code so the other person doesn't have to type the address
• See how many devices are connected
• Keeps sharing in the background, with a Stop button in the notification
• No sign-up and no cloud

FREE, WITH AN AD-FREE OPTION
Quick File Share is free and shows ads. Watch one short video to turn off all ads for an hour, as often as you like.

GOOD TO KNOW
• Both devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network or connected through your hotspot.
• Transfers happen on your local network and aren't encrypted, so use it on your own Wi-Fi or hotspot rather than public Wi-Fi.
• Some video formats (like MKV) may not play in every browser; they can still be downloaded.
Share files with any phone, iPhone or laptop. They only need a browser, no app.
