Quilting math quick Your in the shop...you see a fabric perfect for the backing, and some for the binding. How much fabric do u need? No need to calculate by hand - whip out this handy tool, with great descriptions, too. You'll have just enough - no waste, no hoping the same dye lot is available.
How did we ever do with out this? Ihave always ball parked my measurements and did pretty good but sometimes had to much left over or just squeezed by. What a nuce app to have and since its in my phone too I can do calulations at the fabric store if I see somthing new.
Big errors in Square in a Square Square in a Square calculates incorrectly, adding an inch to any finished inside square length you give it. For example, if you enter a finished inside square length of 5, the calculation incorrectly uses a finished inside square length of 6. Other calculations I've made using the app (binding, borders, backing) have worked out well.
Love it! This app has been a life saver so many times! I would not want to fabric shop or piece without it.
Great for binding calculations I use this to calculate how much yardage I need for bindings and borders. When I've used it for backing, however, it always estimates way more than I need - I must piece my backs differently then they do. Bindings and borders are always accurate.
Idea is good, some calculations are bad Some of the pieces work perfectly. Others are simply bad math. 19 inches is not 1 yard. Can't trust it.
In version 4.9 we made fractions easier to understand. Please send suggestions or bug reports directly to the developers at email@example.com. This will help us to continue releasing improved versions of this app for the global quilting community that we are all a part of.
Excellent scientific calculator with expressions, fractions, repeating decimals.
