App HeatDiffusion3D for Android for 3D simulation of heat diffusion — with NxNxN grid, explicit finite-difference method and slice visualization + pseudo-3D view with superimposed layers.
How the simulation works:
Grid3D — 3D grid T[x][y][z] with double buffer (current/next), explicit finite-difference step along the heat conduction equation dT/dt = α·∇²T, discrete Laplacian along the 6 neighbors, boundaries are isolated (Neumann).
HeatDiffusionEngine — wraps the grid, maintains fixed heat sources, and guarantees stable α (≤ 1/6 for 3D explicit scheme).
HeatColor — converts temperature into color (blue → yellow → red).
Visualization (2 custom Views):
SliceView — flat XY slice with selected Z layer, like a heatmap.
IsoView — pseudo-3D view: all Z-layers superimposed with diagonal offset and transparency for depth perception.
Controls in MainActivity: start/pause/reset simulation, Z layer selection slider, new source temperature slider, button to add additional source to current layer. The default grid is 15×15×15 with a hot source in the center.
