About this app

Record your screen, then turn it into a video worth sharing. Recit is a screen recorder and video editor in one app: capture gameplay, tutorials, app demos and how-tos with your face and voice, then trim, add music, a voice-over and text, and export, all on your phone.

🎥 RECORD YOUR SCREEN
• Start in one tap, with a countdown, pause and resume
• Facecam: drag it anywhere, pinch to resize, pick its shape, mirror it
• Record app sound and your mic together, and mute the mic anytime (app sound on Android 10+, from apps that allow it)
• 480p, 720p, 1080p or your screen's full resolution, at 30 or 60 fps
• Landscape for games and videos, portrait for apps
• A tiny edge tab instead of a big floating button keeps your videos clean, or hide it and control everything from the notification
• See how much recording time fits on your phone before you start
• No root needed

✂️ EDIT LIKE A CREATOR
• Trim, split and cut out the boring parts with precise handles
• Merge several recordings, or videos from your phone, into one
• Add background music from your files, choose where it starts, repeat it, fade in and out
• Record a voice-over while the video plays; other sound lowers automatically while you talk
• Set app sound and mic volume separately, up to 200%
• Add text, a video title, your channel name, opening and ending screens, and smooth transitions
• Put your own logo or channel name on every video
• Undo and redo up to 50 steps. Projects save automatically, so you can pick up where you left off

📤 EXPORT AND SHARE
• MP4 (H.264 + AAC), the format video sites recommend for uploads
• Original, 1080p or 720p, with the file size shown before you start
• Quick export joins clips without re-encoding: fast and lossless when your clips allow it
• Exports keep going in the background, with progress and a cancel button
• Share straight to your favorite apps

🔒 YOUR VIDEOS STAY YOURS
• No Recit watermark on your videos
• Your recordings are never changed: every edit saves as a new video
• Importing uses Android's photo picker, so the app only sees the videos you choose, never your whole gallery
• No account or sign-up needed

📱 MADE FOR YOUR DEVICE
• Light and dark themes
• Works on phones, tablets and foldables, in portrait or landscape
• Android 10 and newer

Recording is always ad-free. Editing, exporting and sharing are unlocked by watching a short video ad.
