About this app
Location Share is an application for sharing the location data in near real-time to managed event services.
In some events, organizers might want to track participants or teams during the event for various reasons, ie. safety or finding the differences on how the monitored is/are finding themselves through the course.
Users of this app cannot see where the others are. This app is solely for the location data collection.
Users read a special QR code during the setup to load their own configuration for the event. After this, the application is ready to use, assuming that the user has set the required permissions:
- Camera (during the setup, "Ask every time" is just fine)
- Location ("Allow all the time", "Use precise location")
- Notifications ("Allow notifications")
- Pause app activity if unused (turn off)
In addition, turn off battery optimization for this application in the System settings > Battery
