The gate rings. Your phone rings. You see who it is, talk to them, and let them in without getting up.

Ajar puts your Dahua intercom on your phone, so the doorbell reaches you whether you are in the kitchen or three countries away. When someone presses the button at the gate, your phone rings like a real call, full screen, with the live picture already there. Answer, say hello, and tap to open. And if nobody is home, you still see who came by.

🔔 What you can do
- Get a full-screen ring the moment someone presses the gate button, even on the lock screen
- Watch the gate camera live at any time, not only during a call
- Talk both ways, so the courier at the gate actually hears you
- Open the pedestrian gate or the driveway gate with a single tap
- Look back over who rang, who answered, and who opened
- Keep a short clip and a photo of every visit, saved at your house

👨‍👩‍👧 Made for a household, not one phone
Invite the family with a QR code. Everyone you let in becomes a full admin, able to answer and open, and you can take that access back whenever you want.

⚙️ How it works
Ajar reaches your intercom through a small, free program you run at home, on a Raspberry Pi, a mini-PC, or Home Assistant. It lives on your home network beside the intercom, and the app talks to it. 🔄 Coming from the intercom's own app?
Two things push people off DMSS. Someone rings and you cannot see who is there. And it seizes up the moment your phone hops from mobile data to your home wifi. Ajar shows you the live picture the instant it rings, and it keeps working as your phone moves between wifi and data, because at home it reads the gate directly and only relays when you are away.

What’s new

Fields for adding an intercom no longer hide behind the keyboard. Share codes show how long they last and can be renewed with a tap, and an expired code is clearly reported. If the doorbell cannot show over the lock screen, the app tells you and takes you to the right setting.
