PROEDUS 2.0 will aim to answer three key questions: What? How? Why ?
What are we doing? We remain the most important institution in Bucharest - leaders in the field of non-formal education and personal development of Bucharest students, we offer role models and innovative activities, but especially we respond to the concrete needs of lifelong learning.
How? By organizing new activities and projects that focus on students, parents and teachers in Bucharest, by continuing to provide all the tools necessary to organize and support learning and development contexts through non-formal and experiential education.
Why? Because the experience so far has taught us how to come to the aid of all actors in education, so that learning and spending time counts and are supported to the highest quality standards, making a difference!
Bucharest Center for Educational and Sports Projects - PROEDUS is a public service of local interest under the auspices of Bucharest City Hall and the General Council of Bucharest. Since its establishment, in the summer of 2009, it has played an essential role in the educational landscape of Bucharest, successfully managing to solidify the relationship of the three main actors in education: teachers - students - parents.
The City Hall of Bucharest, through all the relevant departments, made sure that the projects, programs, events and actions of PROEDUS were always based on the needs of the target group, out of the desire to offer complementarity to formal education. The diversity and range of actions implemented have reached educational, sports, cultural, artistic, active involvement, project support, continuous training, active citizenship in order to train a generation of young people who are concerned and aware of social realities. The combination of formal and non-formal, educational and recreational activities, training, involvement and recreation gives the institution a transversal character in terms of the development of learning processes in Bucharest.
PROEDUS 2.0 has the same mission, purpose and objectives, but proposes an innovative approach and connected to the demands of the Alpha generation that will completely change the world. What is today must be correlated with technological evolution and combined with the cultural diversity in which we live, so PROEDUS 2.0 activities meet the current and future expectations of children and adolescents with whom we are constantly in contact. We also take into account the fact that the number of beneficiaries we address has increased exponentially since 2009, exceeding over 150,000 students we have addressed in the last year. Proedus 2.0 aims to create a pole of pro-educational dialogue by implementing the concept of collaborative governance at the level of Bucharest, bringing together in new programs and projects civil society, business, educational institutions and international educational actors, in order to provide a wide range of options in which every student from Bucharest can find himself and be constantly involved.
The dynamism and involvement of the PROEDUS team is perfected and correlated with the needs of the Bucharest education market, but as before, for 10 years, we are open to know, develop and create an educational environment aligned with new trends and priorities, a educational environment that responds to the new challenges of the generation to be formed and that is developing rapidly. All this permanently supported activity is entirely due to the officials from the Bucharest City Hall and the General Council of the Bucharest Municipality, who managed to transform education into an axis -world of the development of the Bucharest community.
