Make setup and opening strategy easier for your next physical CATAN game.
Hex Strategist for CATAN is an unofficial companion that generates a fresh
Classic island board for 3–4 players in seconds and analyzes the strongest
starting positions. Board generation runs directly on your device, arranging
the standard terrain and number distributions, keeping high-probability red
numbers apart, and displaying every tile in a clear, modern mobile layout.

A five-step quick guide introduces the main tools on first launch and can be
replayed at any time from the in-app About screen.

Choose where the desert can appear, shuffle all nine harbor pieces, and generate
new boards even without an internet connection. Large number tokens and
probability dots make the setup easy to read across the table.

Use the built-in two-dice roller during play, or tap the totals from your real
game in Track mode. Watch the live distribution for totals 2–12 and reset it for
a new game. Enter a shared map code to restore its setup. Share the current board
as an app-aware web link or as a locally captured image of the Android design.

Enable the optional analytics overlay to see the ten strongest settlement
intersections and the recommended opening pair, calculated by the existing
catan.soft2u.ro board analyzer. Advanced analytics adds ranked starts, six
opening pairs, and advice for each player seat. Pinch, pan, or use the
accessible zoom controls to inspect any part of the board.

Interactive analytics follows three- and four-player opening drafts in real time.
Select the player count and your seat, mark each player's settlement and initial-road direction
directly on the board, and see occupied or distance-blocked intersections and
used road edges reflected while the strongest remaining starts, road directions,
and opening pairs are recalculated after every action. Undo and reset controls
make corrections immediate.
