Before December 1 of this year, citizens must pay tax assessments for the previous period. If there is a penalty, it is recommended to first pay the tax on which the penalty is charged, while the amount of the paid debt is fixed on the date of payment.
This application is a unique universal application, your personal tax office, without visiting the Federal Tax Service and replaces your personal tax office. The application currently does not have a tax calculator, but even without it you can get comprehensive information on the tax on a car, land, or apartment.
The application's QR scanner will help you obtain information on the received receipt and pay using any cards, including Sberbank, VTB, Tinkoff, and there are no restrictions on the types of cards: MIR, MasterCard, VISA, Electron and Maestro. In the near future, it will be possible to use Google Pay and Samsung Pay. The application also contains a link to an application where you can pay fines without commission.
Information about all payments made using the application is transferred to the State Information System on State and Municipal Payments (GIS GMP). This helps to minimize the time it takes for the Federal Tax Service to receive information about payment, which meets the requirements of legislation in the provision of public services (Federal Law No. 210-FZ “On the organization and provision of state and municipal services”).
To avoid the accrual of interest for late payment (penalties), property, land, and transport taxes must be paid no later than December 1, 2021. In some situations, the Federal Tax Service has the right to impose a fine in the amount of 20-40% of the debt amount (Article 122 of the Tax Code of the Russian Federation).
The obligation to pay tax is considered fulfilled by the taxpayer from the moment the payment is made, regardless of when the money actually arrives at the Federal Tax Service account. Typically this happens within 7-10 business days. Thus, when a debt arises, it is recommended to first pay the tax and then the penalty, since the amount of the penalty is fixed on the date of repayment of the principal debt.
