The Holy Bible: Easy to Read Version (ERV) is an English translation of the Bible that makes it easy to read and understand. The ERV Bible uses simpler vocabulary and shorter sentences. This version will be useful for those who have difficulty reading.
The Easy to Read Version uses the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia (1984) as its Old Testament text with some readings from the Dead Sea Scrolls. It also follows the Septuagint, an ancient Greek translation of the Hebrew scriptures, when its readings are considered more accurate. For the New Testament, the ERV uses the United Bible Societies' Greek New Testament (1993) and Nestle-Aland Novum Testament Graece (1993).
In 2004, a major revision of the Easy to Read Version Bible was finished. It used broader vocabulary and greater use of gender-inclusive language.

I Can Tell Others That The EVR Bible Is The Best Thing I Have In My Smartphone. It Is Easy To Understand, With Important But Well Used Vocabulary ( Not Over Used ) And The Appearance Is Decent For A Bible. Not Flashy To Create Selling Point, But Clean And Neat Like A Holy Book Must Be. AMEN.

This Book changed my life. And it IS ONLY because of THIS VERSION of it that I wad able to begin to understand what I was reading!!! Before this version it had just been words on paper.
