You can solve the puzzle by looking at the interactive model. Or see a list of moves that solve the puzzle.

The camera is not always able to recognize the puzzle, for example in poor lighting or due to glare. This is not a problem - the puzzle can easily be entered in manual mode.

For simple puzzles (2x2x2, 2x2x3, 2x3x3, 1x2x3, Skewb, Ivy, Pyraminx, Dino) ASolver finds the optimal solution with the minimum possible number of moves.

The solution of the 3x3x3 Rubik's Cube and the 3x3x3 Void Cube is very close to optimal. For a well tangled puzzle, that's about 19 moves.

For 4x4x4, 5x5x5, Kilominx with and without centers, and Megaminx the optimal solution is unknown, so nobody knows :)

A well-tangled:
- 4x4x4 on average is solved in 48 moves
- 5x5x5 in 83 moves
- Kilominx with centers in 35 moves
- Kilominx without centers in 33 moves.

Ratings and reviews

Spent way too much time selecting the colors on the megaminx only for it to error out and blame me for inputting it wrong. I've double and triple checked the color scheme, the number of colors add up correctly, it just can't solve it. The interface for rotating is also awkward, so to have to watch a commercial in order to spend 10 minutes awkwardly coloring everything in, only for it to fail is very frustrating. I think it got it right once out of 5 attempts.

I came back to lower this review again!!! This app used to work great, But then the fixed frame mode stopped working. Now even manual input stopped working. I have a megaminx I put in all of the colors 3 times, and it came back with a message color error. How I just opened this and never moved any stickers, because I think that makes it look bad in the long run. Please fix your app back to how it used to be.

Brilliantly easy to navigate. You can adjust speed as well. You can take a picture of each side after you designate your colors. Even allows you to asign the colors by sampling the cubes colors. Helped me to solve my Professor Cube in under 5 minutes. Ease of use and simplicity of examples and directions makes this cube solver a must have. No, im not a paid advertiser or part of the company. And even if I was, it wouldn't change the fact that this app is awesome. Well done!!!
