I believe dimension H on the input on the free version should show to the bottom of the rafter. If I enter for instance a 100mm rise and a 100mm rafter thickness it still gives me a rafter angle. Also, the birds mouth often gives me a height greater than the thickness of the rafter. A good little app if you know what you are doing but dislike maths or just don't do it often enough to remember the formulae like me. Ads can be intrusive but you have to pay your way somehow.

The app is ok. To be honest, the information needed for the calculations is everything you need anyway. For example, if I measure from the ridge to the wall plate then add on whatever overhang I decide then I will already know the exact length to cut the rafters anyway. Bit pointless to be honest. This app would only slow down your day just by using it anyway because by the time I have entered all the information needed to get the answer on the app, I'd have a rafter measured, birds mouth cut and nailed lol. The app is a cool idea tho. Quick thought designers, how about creating an app where I can enter the length, width of the building and it calculates how many rafters/trusses needed with metric/imperial centres e.g. 400mm/16 inches. possibly enter width and rise n possibly give me the pitch? Just a thought guys. Thanks

Very Good app, once an angle and height and run has been inputted the rest of the data, should self input the as it is geometrically tied
