Augmented Reality (AR) on the 200-Ruble Banknote - 3D Models Through the Camera
Augmented reality (AR) right on your smartphone: point your camera at the 200-ruble banknote issued by Goznak in 2017 and see scenes from a wondrous new world – 3D objects come to life right on the banknote!
Plus, enter the scene directly without a camera, like a 3D game: examine the models up close, navigate the world with a virtual joystick, and rotate the camera by swiping anywhere on the screen.
Goal and Idea
To demonstrate how smartphone object recognition augments reality with 3D models. Russian banknotes are a convenient target for Augmented Reality (AR): they're often at hand and easy to recognize.
★ Features
🎯 AR through the camera on the 200-ruble banknote: point the camera, and 3D objects appear on the banknote.
🎮 A scene directly without using the camera: "3D game-like" mode - explore the world without targeting.
🕹️ Controls: move with the virtual joystick, look around with a swipe to rotate the camera.
✈️ New scene: a Boeing 738 model taking off with the famous sound of a Tu-154 - aviation fans will recognize this spectacular roar.
🧠 AR technology demonstration: clearly demonstrate how a smartphone recognizes objects and adds 3D content to the real world.
How to use
Launch the app and select a mode:
AR via camera - prepare a 200-ruble banknote (Goznak, 2017) and point the camera.
3D scene without a camera - enter immediately, just like in a 3D game.
Move with the virtual joystick, rotate the camera with a swipe.
Enjoy 3D objects and Boeing 738 takeoff scenes with Tu-154 sound.
Who is this app for?
For those who want to quickly understand augmented reality (AR).
For 3D graphics and aviation enthusiasts.
For users interested in experimenting with object recognition and AR scenes.
Important Notes
3D graphics require resources: on weaker devices, lags or incomplete display of 3D objects are possible – this is normal for AR.
This version uses the new 200-ruble banknote, issued by the Central Bank of Russia in 2017.
