I would give 3.5 if I could. Overall, it's a solid spaced repetition system that comes with a good set of cards (in Spain Spanish) that you can add custom cards to. I like that there are multiple review modes. However, it's a pain to add words to your learning queue (too many taps), you can't crosslist custom words to multiple decks, you can't review in both Esp -> Eng and Eng -> Esp, and the active queue can get way too long when learning new words (you forget way before it comes back).

The system used in this app is a tried and true method, flashcards work. They work better when you already know some spanish. flashcards are not an effective way to start learning a language from scratch since disjointed words and concepts will not readily be absorbed without an understanding of grammar and conjugation. however if you have already mastered basics, this app provides an excellent expansion point for you cognate lexicon. pronunciation (spanish) is unreliable and needs work.

Good, but could be better. The app gives example of the given word but I wish they would do this in order. For example Yo, Tu, el, Ella, usted etc . This would be more consistent and make it easier to learn the conjugations. At the moment it's just random examples which as a new learner, I find to be confusing. I paid for the upgrade and this review is based on that.
