The flat pattern of a cone is an application that calculates the parameters for a development of a Full , Half , Truncated , Concentric, Frustum, Eccentric Cone.

The cone is a widely used shape in the manufacture of transitions in ventilation, pipelines, pressure vessels, heat exchangers and tanks.

Flat pattern cone app is a very good tool for students, engineers and technicians. Using the sweep calculator, you can get all the necessary information about the cone.

If you need to make a cone, but you don’t want to count yourself, then I bring to your attention the calculation of the cone layouts. Using this calculation, cutting and assembling a cone will not be difficult. For creating a cone from sheet metal or any flat material.

Added the function of saving the development of a straight and truncated cone to a DXF file. Export the flat pattern as a dxf file, then you can open it with any CAD program like Acad. You can use the dxf file to cut the sheet on a laser or cnc machine.
On the phone, you can open AutoCAD, DWG FastView, SchemataCAD viewer DWG/DFX, AutoDWG DWGSee.

It is simple to use and useful app. I would have given 5 stars if it also calculated area, radius, circumference etc of the top and bottom circular surfaces of truncated cone.

Works well, but does not take the thickness of the material into consideration, so it is not very helpful for material thicker than about 1.0 mm (<=0.040") maximum. Probably better at around 0.5 mm (<=0.020")

you can use the average diameter instead of the outer diameter in the calculation. The average diameter is equal to the outer diameter minus the thickness of the material.
