The action begins in England at the end of the 19th century. A gentleman named Graham falls into a lethargic sleep, formally continuing to be listed as alive. The hero wakes up two hundred years later and discovers that he has become the de facto ruler of the world. His bank account, managed by a board of lawyers, grew year by year and eventually made him the richest man on Earth, the owner of all earthly industries, media and real estate. He is known to earthlings as The Sleeper. His body was kept in a special mausoleum, and no one believed that the Sleeper would ever wake up.
