Notedog is a portable, personal Markdown journal for Android that keeps your notes as plain files you own.

Capture thoughts on your phone, then pair with your laptop browser when you want a real keyboard. Your entries stay on your device as readable .md files — no account, no Notedog cloud, no proprietary database.

Connect AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT — or your own scripts — to your journal via a built-in MCP server and REST API. They read, and write only with your permission, and you can revoke access anytime.

Every entry is stored as a plain Markdown file in plain folders. Open them with Obsidian, vim, your IDE, or any Markdown tool.

Pair your phone with a desktop browser on your local network and edit the same notes with a full keyboard.

Your phone is the source of truth. Use Git backup or the optional tunnel only when you choose.

• Git-friendly journaling
Back up journals to GitHub, GitLab, Gitea, or your own Git server.

• Optional remote browser access
Use the subscription tunnel to reach your phone from outside your local network. The tunnel relays requests; it does not store your notes.
