What bird is that? Birdy is the beautiful, private field guide and
birding journal for birders. Identify birds from a photo or by bird
song — offline, with no account — and keep every find as a page you own and want to flip back to.

**SCAN — properly simple**
Point your camera at the bird, pick a photo from your gallery, or
record a 3-second clip to identify birds from their call. Birdy is a
bird sound identifier and photo bird species identifier in one,
running on-device with local AI (Google AIY Birds V1 for images,
BirdNET-Lite for audio) — no internet needed, no accounts. Photo and bird call identification are free, always.

**LEARN — a European birds guide that grows with you**
Browse 839 European species with text from Wikipedia, photos from Wikimedia Commons, and short marginalia for field marks. Search by name, filter by ecological group, or just wander. It's the offline bird identification companion for the field — and a quiet referenceat home.

**COLLECT — your birdwatching journal stays yours**
Save sightings with a photo, a handwritten note in the margin, and — if you opt in — where each find happened. With Premium, see them all on a private map of your sightings. Everything is stored locally — no cloud accounts, no tracking, no ads. Your journal is yours.

No accounts. No advertisers. No tracking. Camera frames are processed on-device and discarded immediately. Almost nothing is collected, and your data stays on the phone. Saved photos live in the app's private folder — uninstall removes everything. It's a private bird app, no account required.
