UV Heat shows the UV index for your location – right now, hour by hour, and as a daily forecast for the next 5–7 days.
WHAT THE APP DOES
• Current UV index for your location, color-coded according to the WHO scale (Low, Moderate, High, Very high, Extreme)
• Hourly curve for today, so you can see when the radiation peaks
• Daily forecast with max UV for the next 5–7 days
• Search any place in the world and save up to 10 favorites
• Offline mode: the latest fetched data is shown with a clear last-updated stamp
• Advice for each UV level based on WHO recommendations
• Swedish and English, dark mode, 12- or 24-hour time format
YOUR LOCATION IS ONLY USED APPROXIMATELY
The app only requests approximate (coarse) location permission, and coordinates are rounded to roughly 10 km accuracy before being sent to fetch forecast data. Your position is never stored on any server and is never linked to any identity. You can deny location access and search for places manually instead.
NO ACCOUNTS, NO ADS, NO TRACKING
Favorites and settings are stored only locally on your device. The app contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking code.
DATA SOURCES
The UV values are forecasts from open weather sources:
• Weather data by Open-Meteo.com
• UV index data by CurrentUVIndex (CC BY 4.0)
• Data from MET Norway, NLOD/CC BY 4.0
The app always shows which source was used and when the data was fetched. Values are forecasts and may differ from actual radiation.
GOOD TO KNOW
UV radiation can neither be seen nor felt, and clouds let through a lot of UV. The app is a planning aid – not medical advice.
