Imvi School is the training app for students whose school uses the Imvi training method. The app requires a student account from the school and cannot be used on its own.
The training is carried out as a targeted effort for students with reading and concentration difficulties, or in a whole class to improve the conditions for reading for all students.
HOW IT WORKS
The student logs in with the school code and their own emoji code. The home page shows what is currently applicable: today's goal, this week's goal and the last four weeks. The app leads the student to the next step - the staff does not start anything for the student.
TRAINING IN TWO FORMS
Image training: two images are displayed simultaneously, one for the left eye and one for the right. The images move slowly sideways while the student watches.
Streamed training: the same movement, but with streamed programs instead of still images. It is unlocked when the student has completed a full training day with image training.
TESTS THAT STUDENTS TAKE THEMSELVES
Every now and then it is time for a test, and then the test replaces the training on the home page until it is done. The test consists of fifteen questions about how it feels to read, and a reading test in three parts: letters, words and sentences. Each part takes two minutes and the student gets to practice first. The staff never conducts a test for a student.
STUDENTS SEE THEIR TRAINING — NOT THEIR RESULTS
The app contains today's goal, the week's goal, the number of days in a row and a history of the last four weeks. Scores, results and test answers are never shown to the student.
FOR THE SCHOOL
Teachers, school administrators and principals work in Imvi's web interface: classes and students, pupil distance, test date and follow-up. The teacher sees their class, and the school sees their classes. The app is the student's part of the same system.
GOOD TO KNOW
A student account from the school is required to log in.
The student's pupillary distance (PD) must be registered by the school before the training can start.
The training takes place with the phone in landscape mode, placed in Imvi's VR glasses.
The app is in Swedish.
PERSONAL DATA
The school is the data controller and Imvi is the data processor. The data is stored within the EU/EEA. The app contains no advertising and no third-party analysis tools.
