About this app

SI-Droid ROC is an app that makes it easy to report online punches from the forest during an orienteering competition with SportIdent. All that is needed in the forest apart from the control unit itself is a mobile phone + a USB OTG cable.

The app reports all punches to ROC's web service. See more at http://olresultat.se. From there, the punches can be retrieved by the usual orienteering admin program (eg OLA, OE/OS2010, MeOS).

The app supports USB, SRR and serial devices (via a USB to serial converter). If you want to connect more than one device at a time, you also need a USB hub. Normally, no powered USB hub is needed, everything is powered via the phone.

NOTE: If you intend to use the app on a phone with Android 6.0 or later, you should make an exception for the app in Android's battery optimization. If this is not done, the ROC reporting risks stopping working after an hour or so. Read more on the website (http://www.joja.se).
